  • music from Inception!

  • @BLaiaiprincess hehe, yes, incredibly intuitive of me, three years before the Inception came to life!

  • Does CalArts do computer graphics and animation?

  • Yes. I didn't include CG in here, but it is in the program.

  • Personally, I think that SCAD would be better for CG animation. CG is their forte. Calarts on the other hand is king when it comes to 2d animation. Disney does a lot of their internships there.

That is just what I have heard (as a high school senior), so don't take my word for it. I am a 2d animator however, so I am focused on getting to calarts. At my school, my 3d animation teacher, and peers are always talking about SCAD, so that is how I came to this judgement.

  • @immencely That isn't Edith Piaf singing though is it?

  • What do you have to have to get into CalArts?

  • @immencely Is this Edith Piaf or someone else?

  • @HeelisToonz This is pretty late, but Calarts is the best school for animation bar none. If you can animate 2D, then you can animate 3D. The thing about Calarts is that they don't focus on teaching you the latest technology like other schools, but they just straight teach you to master animation and movement. Have you applied or got in any of these colleges, Calarts or SCAD?

  • imnot going to cal arts..

  • @ALMat101 you're soo dumb dude

  • This is great! If I go to somewhere like RISD or SAIC freshman year, do you think I'd be fine transferring to CalArts my sophomore year?

  • great!!

  • What's the song on here..?

  • So you're obviously part of the character animation department, I'm planning on applying to experimental this year, do you have any particular advice? My passion is stop motion and trying out new mediums of animation but I still love drawn as well. Do you shoot mostly on 1's or shoot on 2's as well? Also we're these projects by class and how much time did you have for each animation? Sorry for all the questions I'm just very excited to be applying! Fantastic stuff!
