That's because he was only a puppy in this video and had just blown the last of his puppy fuzz. Goldens don't get their full feathering and adult coat until they are about 2 years old.

@bluestingerborg This was taken when he was about 5 months old. This is a really old video. He'll be 2 years old a week from Saturday and looks completely different now.
