LITTLE WONDER #942 issued 1918. Although many are under the impression that LITTLE WONDER records are intended only for children, they are not. However, some of their issues are definitely intended for the younger set. Such is this example. Even though LITTLE WONDER releases typically run about a minute and a half, this issue actually features two...count 'em...two songs! 'HUMPTY DUMPTY' and 'POLLY PUT THE KETTLE ON'. The 'LITTLE WONDER' record label produced 5" records, which were sold in five-n-dime stores for ten cents. These records typically have average or slightly below average sound for the period and were very popular due to their quality and low price. Played on a VICTOR TALKING MACHINE VV VI.
