hank=a musical prodigy. sorry elvis fans, but no southern white boy ever had the tapped instinct for indigenous music forms like this s ala scot irish shaman. think about what this guy could meld composition & tone wise at the drop of a hat: creole soul; delta blues; high lonesome cowboy; tribal native; appal bluegrass; earliest rockabilly roots & protestant southern gospel. he did all this seemingly w/o effort & could compose it on a dime. cash, dylan, elvis, c berry all would tell u the same.
