Yorkie Hates Booties

I bought my yorkie some booties so he won't get frostbite in the snow... but he HATES them!

EDIT: Since there are so many ignorant haters out there... Epsilon did not endure any pain in the making of this video. I was hoping he would get used to them indoors so that he could keep his feet safe when in the snow. Well, he never did get used to it, so he never wears them. Instead, I will be getting him an outdoor doggy astroturf thing for him this winter to keep on my porch. This dog is anything but abused, so calm down.

I had better music at first, but YouTube said I was violating copyright stuff. Lame.

Yorkies are very susceptible to the cold, she was being kind getting shoes for his paws in the cold, even professional dog sledders wrap their dogs feet to protect them from the cold and thats snow dog breeds!

Your Yorkie is adorable! He looks exactly like my little guy. Ugh! I dread winter and snow as I feel so terrible for my dog freezing. I'm thinking about putting a strip of sod inside my garage for him to go potty. We tried these boots also and our dog did the same thing as yours!

I got my Mom's yorkie some booties since we live in Canada and the weather can be brutal and he did the same thing. Lol. Needless to say I had to return the booties and now he lives in California instead. :)

@theBLC420 Expert...no, I don't think so...not yet, lolz. but I now own a pair of crazy beagles (my husbands dogs first, then mine. They are like our kids, haha) They wear bar shirts in the house because it seems to calm them. They potty less in the house, they don't chew on my things as much, and its easier to train them. I think it feels like a constant hug to them, maybe thats why people started the whole small breed clothes thing in the first place? It seems to soothes them...

@FiestyCat86 big and small breeds?? I dunnoooo about that...I have black labs and they've never needed clothes...I dunno. I'm not a dog fashion expert like you, so maybe I'm just ignorant.

@theBLC420 we shaved him because he had an issue with grooming. He was overweight (we tried everything to get it down) Because of his arthritis, he found it hard to poo without getting it all over his bottom, so I had to keep it shaved for easier cleaning, and he looked better when I kept the rest of him short.

My dogs never wore "dresses" because they were boys, but its easy to treat your pet like a dog, in clothes. Its just an extension of their fur. Big and small breeds.
