HAHAHAHAHAH!!! Jim took him to town with his Long Term Capital Management example. Socialists are horrible economists, otherwise they'd all be rich and on the beach living it up.
@BadWithNames123 , "monopolies are a myth.. and so are "poor working conditions"
You must be joking right??????
The ultimate goal of every capitalist is a monopoly. He/she would be crazy to tell you otherwise. And about poor working conditions. What about the border factories in Mexico, the factories in China, Vietnam, etc.???
@bloemetjen monopolies are a myth.. and so are "poor working conditions" employees vote by feet.. that why we have good job because companies have to offer decent working conditions or nobody would want to work there.

@BadWithNames123 , I agree with you on a lot of things but I don't think the answer is just capitalism or just socialism. That's why I wrote: maybe we can learn something form eachother...
About the debt...that has a lot to do with the tax benifits for house owners, it's a rotten system indeed..on the other hand Dutch people save a lot of money privately and with their pension systems.
A free market needs rules other wise it will leed to monopoly's and poor working conditions.

but how could he start his company in the first place.. he had to get a loan to get the machinery or office space or whatever.
what do we need politicians for anyways? they cant give us anything for free..
i would prefer a system like china but which a working justice department with same laws for everybody.. thats what we really need.. same laws and not bailouts for to big to fails..
china is doing great they are seeking influence through trade and investment in other country not troops and bombs : P
i hope he learned his lessons.. those are the people why i have to leave germany work on a ship and get a residence somewhere where i dont have to pay taxes (like singapure) and can invest my money which than creates new work... i definitely wont create jobs in germany anymore..
@japicuca , I just admire his wits and knowledge of the economic system and markets. I agree with you that earning millions of dollars by investing is not something to look up to in a moral kind of way. But by listening to mr Rogers you can save and earn yourself a lot of money.
He is just one of the smartest guys in the class. That's not something to admire, it's just a fact.
