"Robyn's new album is just breathtaking. It's a really moving piece of work."
David Holmes

Beautifully bleak, but absolutely full of emotion. Amazingly, this is his debut release; words fail me.'
Mike Diver, Editor, Drowned in Sound

'Unlike countless other releases that name check the likes of Will Oldham, Low and Red House Painters as musical references, this is a record that can withstand -- and I'd argue surpass -- those comparisons with ease.'
Matt Dornan, Editor, Comes With a Smile

'Our American friends are hip to the Appalachian sounds that we originally shipped out of Ulster, a few centuries back. And here's Robyn, stealing it back.'
Stuart Bailie, Oh Yeah!

Cat Power, The Good Life, Richard Hawley, Joan As Police Woman, Devendra Banhart, Low & Will Oldham. Some of the people Robyn G Shiels has shared a stage with.

His debut album 'A Lifetime of Midnights' was received with warm praise, comparing Robyn to his peers, suggesting he could soon be as important as the names dropped in the reviews .

There were dates in the UK and US, sessions for Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1 and Indie 103.1FM in LA.

Robyn's work was noted and handpicked by Composer / Producer David Holmes for the Cherry Bomb film soundtrack (feat. Rupert Grint & Robert Sheehan)

Things move slowly in deepest Northern Ireland and with more long nights and dark days Robyn is set to release the Great Depression E.P.

The Great Depression focuses on the retrospective, bleak side of Robyn's catalogue, this isn't the time for screaming choruses. It is night time and it is dark, after all.
There's an honesty and truth laid out amongst the sparse percussion, piano and guitars. These are songs of reflection and regret but all the while a melody, suggesting that although things may have been better not occurring, we've at least forged a good story along the way.

This is night and whoever is in the room is happy to be here and part of it.

The EP features 5 tracks and is available as a digital download from all the usual outlets. Physical copies are available from select outlets and through Robyn's bandcamp & nodancing.co.uk
