From the G3 Denver Show (2003) an amazing solo from Yngwie in Jimmie Hendrix's Little Wing cover. Yngwie seems to have an equivalent grasp of classic rock shredding except from his usual neoclassical style.

Jimi played fast and loud and was the best of his time...kind of like Yngwie, people dont like yngwie cause he's good, people are told to believe fast solos are automatically bad ones and since people are puppets they go along with it

i thought yngwie didn't like jimi hendrix's music lol.well i applaud him for playing this,still not very good.i get that shredding & neo classical shit is more his style,but it doesn't cut it with jimi's music.people get so swept up in speed & technique they lose feeling for the music,so it ends up sounding mechanical & soulless.

I admire him alot more for this. Not only can he do complex classical pieces, but he can jam and improvise on Hendrix. And still manage to piss people off. That is like the complete musician.

@dmcgraye too many haters on here. If they watched people like this a little more often they would probably appreciate good music and that might change their frame of mind. Nobody should be talking smack about people as good as Yngwie or anyone in this video. Lets be thankful to be around when these people are alive and producing new music.

Love this, he's not Hendrix, he puts his own personal stamp on it. If I wanted the original I'd listen to the original. I like it when somebody takes the familiar and doesn't just cover it, Malmsteen takes this way out there I'll admit, but I think it's kind of neat.

Many many notes and techniques, but I don´t know why I like too much jimi hendrix, music is a not racer
