This video documents my finding of what I believe to be at the very least a graphical bug in iTunes. It could also be a software bug. Actually, it's not just one bug. It's three bugs all resulting under the same conditions.

This finding was an accident. All of it was actually. The white smear is what I found first and caused me to panic. I literally came three seconds away from calling up AppleCare because I thought my brand new MacBook Pro already had a broken screen. It was not. The black box was the next bug I found, again on accident. The third bug, the frozen info, I actually found while editing this video. I didn't notice it before.

This video (and part 2) will show you the glitch and explain how to bring it up. As far as I know, it occurs on a 15 inch MacBook Pro (the lowest build in terms of specs with no customization) running OS X Snow Leopard and the latest iTunes.

If you have ever had this bug, or can replicate it on your machine, PLEASE COMMENT. I will be calling Apple to let them know about the bug. If someone can replicate it on their system and document the steps taken to get it, there is a better chance Apple will take a look at it.

Thank you.

  • Use WinAmp, problem solved :) (Winamp is totally compatible with ipod)

  • @TearsOfWar1 and not with OSX

  • @FranceHopper Well WinAmp has some really nice features like WinAmp Remote. Sorry, I didn't know. I am not sure what is and what isn't compatible with OS X... I use Windows 7.

  • @TearsOfWar1 Yeah it definitely has nice features. Used in back in the days I ran a PC with Windows 95. Wish they'd make an OSX port :/

  • Aren't you obsessed with iTunes, lol! This is why I LOVE Rockbox on my iPod 30GB Video. No need for iTunes to manage my music. Just drag-and-drop your files like any other external HDD! Easy! =)

  • @ScienceOfThePS3 This is the first time I've ever had any major problem with the app itself. That doesn't meant I haven't had issues with the store though. That's a whole different story.

  • Try either updating it (if possible) or reinstall iTunes. Reinstalling it doesn't delete anything from your library.

  • It's looks rather like a virtual milk spill. Rather odd glitch.

  • it might be just apple it doesn't do that on windows or it could be the graphics card

  • OMG I just noticed that is Gaiaonline. :D
