This is an early jazzrock jam (somewhere around Miles Davis revolution with Silent Way and Bitches Brew) featuring the most promising young jazz artist. It's dated for 28th October 1968, but most probably it's played somewhere in 1969, after McLaughlin's arrival to USA.
This is bootleg and it have never been officialy released.
Chick Corea - acoustic & Wurlitzer piano
John McLaughlin - guitar
Dave Holland - bass
Jack DeJohnette - drums

when I saw this line up I stopped cold. Turns out I have heard this on another site and these guys brought a lot of the Heavy to those early Miles masterpieces. Dave Holland's style is incredibly heavy. He had more of that Hendrix/Cream rock feel than other more jazz leaning players and Corea could sound as much like Hendrix as Mclaughlin.
this group of four players, to me are the heaviest group I ever heard out of that period, that is, playing without Miles Davis as the leader.
thanx.

WHOA! is right! Clearly these guys have been listening to the heavy rock that was current at the time (Jeff Beck Group would be one guess...)
