SIE hosts the first England children's World Cup soccer tournament in Stoke-on Trent in partnership with Stoke City FC on July 2008.

The Gordon Banks: Sport for Development and Peace tournament was hosted as part of a series of events honouring the legendary England goalkeeper Gordon Banks on July 12th, 2008. The two semi-finalists battled against each other as England and Brazil pior to the Pelé XI v Banks XI celebrity charity football match at Britannia Stadium.

World Cup legends Pelé and Gordon Banks presented the winning team with their medals.
