The spread of satellite communication through remote Indigenous Australia brought with it a barrage of western programming. This led to a growing disconnect with age old traditions, which in turn led to cultural chaos. This turmoil was portrayed negatively by western media. NT Mojo is designed to provide Indigenous people with the skills and technology to participate in the media landscape, by producing and publishing their own local stories to the web.
