COMPANY is what is referred to as a concept musical. It was an attempt to break away from the conventional Broadway musical arch. So you could say the show is all in his mind, and he's seeing all these little snapshots trying to make a decision to be alone in this city or try to be with someone. So in regards to the plot thee isn't one. However, it's a great social commentary piece on New York City.

I saw this show more times than I care to count. The day after the Tonys my friend and I sent Raul a card backstage with a bouquet of sunflowers. The front of the card had this very retro 1960s looking woman with a cigarette holder saying, "I only want revenge. Is that so wrong?" Inside we wrote, "Bring me the head of David Hyde Pierce." That night he sang the shit out of Being Alive and got a five to seven minute standing ovation...it was sorta "BLEEP YOU TONYS" moment

His voice sounds better than the recorded performance. He was kinda nasal and bland then. Thanks for the video, I love Company even more now.

Kelly Grant was teh best Kathy in the revised script version of Company (after Ms. McKechnie who had the kick ass Tick Tock dance)....

I am proud to say I walk through the halls that Raul walked through. Ok, my acting teacher got two people into Juilliard. Let's hope I can be the third.
