True car is a SCAM and are being shut down. Plain and simple.

How many of you guys go to work for free?

@ConsumerWarehouseUSA Not all cars have the same amount of mark up. Not to mention that not all Honda/Toyota/KIA etc models have the same amount of mark up either.
Example, a Fit has less mark up than a Civic, which has less than an Accord.

@kluber2 Apparently you don't know what you are talking about. "Out the door" ALWAYS includes Tax/Reg/Dealer Fees. In other words, if someone tells you it is an out the door price, you will simply bring in a check for that amount and receive the keys.

@kluber2 True car does not really know what they are talking about for several brands. I have people come in this store, asking for a true car price match. They show us their price and try it at other dealerships in the area. No one matches their prices because they think there is a bunch of incentives the dealers get that are not real.
True car . com is also getting sued for false information as well as trying to act like a broker when they do not have a brokerage license.
SHUT THEM DOWN!

We're thinking about a TrueCar partnership but I sat down recently with the TRUECar Regional Manager and here's an important fact consumers should know. TRUEcar does not set the prices you see, only the dealer sets that price. Also, it can be better to take a rate like 0% vs. the cash rebate which makes the price look lower. Due diligence and a level head by buyers and dealers are key to success. That's why we're #1 in our District, 23 years in a row! Remember: You get better results with sugar

@healerdiva - cont. 2
Therefore one should NEVER incl. State taxes, DMV fees...why? cause you will PAY THOSE REGARDLESS. So, why allow scumbag dealers to throw more numbers to confuse and wordplay you w/ such non specific terms as "out the door price"?
Match the TruceCar price or I walk !
I went to several dealers they COULD NOT MATCH TRUECAR...so i walked.
-
@healerdiva - The problem is the word play "OUT THE DOOR PRICE"
Used car salesman and politicians are fond of such vague non-specific terms. Why? cause it allows them to speak in half truths.
"Out the door price" could mean incl. all txes and fees or alternatively to salesman, in could mean the price I sell you for - then he would say...taxes and DMV fees are collected by the State not by me ! Therefore it IS "out the door price"

Yes, you can get some decent information from Truecar. However,keep in mind that the True Car price does not include taxes tag and fees. The guy on the video said his original "out the door" price quote from his dealer was $29,999. Out the door includes all taxes and fees! I am not sure what his sales tax is, but it sounds to me like if you took the $28,626 + ( x 5% tax= $1431.30)= $30,057.30, not including Tag fees or dealer fees. That was actually a great price he was quoted originally.
What a tool!
