Perception

Ones perception, a colorful canvas of powerful imagery made
In my mind wild visions of emotions chaotically parade
An audience of one, I watch the endless show proceed
Staring its only solo role, my heart performs a powerful lead
Slowly dancing, bleeding, loving, saying all that is unsaid
Beating, now alive all that I believed was dead
A candle lit, glowing embers of enlightenment, steadily paced
Illuminating a wonder her monsters thought to have defaced
A radiant truth that rained down upon her dehydrated soul
A blessing that defied gravity to raise her up with its flirtatious pull
Her bereft affect, a race to forget, a marathon she won
Once wound so unnecessarily tight, ultimately undone
A feeling she found, felt now as prior, numb, she felt none
Objectively listening, waiting through the web of lies the world spun
Aggressively fighting, incessantly riding the non-entertaining waves
In a simple moment, she ventured upon the salvation that unfeignedly saves
She needs not the love of others to be a contender in lifes little play
In a mere aluministic glass, verity stands clearly on display
An antidote to mourning, a love for self, she does at long last uncover
A miracle she housed all this time, how she longed for this treasure to discover
More precious than silver, or even yet, the largest quantity of gold
Limitless is she, graced, enchanted, such a charm to behold
Destined for greatness, everlasting felicity, immortal contentment
No longer visualizing life through eyes of sorrow and bitter resentment
Actualizing now, none other than purposeful desire
A sure hope, sparks ignited, a fervently warming fire
Happened upon, in her OWN reflection, eyes, smile, and face
Once lost, now found, acceptance, belonging, in the world her own place
Written is this goodbye to a lifetime of sorrows acquaintance I shall never miss
Stamped, signed, delivered, sealed with happiness and a courageous, passionate kiss
