A great kit really helps- but I've seen great drummers make entry-level kits sound good. It's all in their skills and chops. Keep at it, you'll get there if you work long enough! I'm still working at it myself!! 20 years and counting!

Wow! I had the same problem, I got a Fender Marcus Miller bass and I still sound nothing like him. I glad the bass is under warranty so i can get my money back.

Had a custom kit built five years ago Everything the same as Dave Weckls. Doesnt seem to be working though, cuz I still cant play like him ;oP

haha : ) i also have loads of videos but the camera owner didn't want them online... did you hear weckl's back again this year in the same festival!

ye with Mike Stern. I'm totally going there! IMO KeiteleJazz has had the best artist of all the other jazz festivals here in Finland within the past few years.
