  • Je reste persuadé que la musique (d'orgue) de la seconde moitié du XXème siècle et notre musique contemporaine, si elle semble "inaccessible" à certaines personnes, n'est qu'une question de maturité musicale, autrement dit d'experience et d'éducation.

  • Maybe its the reverberation of the hall, but this piece sounds like hes mashing the keys with his fist. I'm sure it would sound better in person?

  • @Zylstra555 Are you defending the comments from the earlier commenter who named himself"Fourfootfaggot"?Certainly there will be people surfing about who will be disruptive.Comments like"Sounds like he's mashing notes" are not even worthy of a dillettante but more in the character of what used to be called a "flamer"on line.Derogatory about organ technique should require some understanding.I am not against free speech or personal enjoyment. The focus is "Hyperion 1" not the "FourfootF.." opinion.

  • @robertmbruno You'll have to ask yourself that.

You could have disagreed with my comment and just walked away, but you wanted to give your bit of input.

Why? Because it's your opinion, you interpreted what I had to say in your own unique way, and it was a completely personal thought.

A person need not learn to play the piano to enjoy listening to piano, nor organ, nor guitar. "Sound, and the way we interpret it, is completely personal."

What one person enjoys others may not.

  • @Zylstra555 I don't understand this defensive comment."Some people" can change the station or turn off the computer. What is the logic of "Some people"getting on a soapbox and complaining? "Some people" can leave and go to where they are more happy instead of making waves and judgments.I don't see a conflict in the idea of interpretation being individual but many critical commentaries are made by people that want attention without any commitment or responsibility for learning the crafts of art.

  • @robertmbruno Sound, and the way we interpret it, is completely personal.

Some people do not like non-traditional music styles.

  • It isnt the room making sound like mashing keys its your ear who isnt trained to hear such a masterpiece maybe you should do better wtaching American Idol

  • Open the ears ,open your mind ,and open your heart. This is a marvelous work by a fine musician.I don't understand the sophomoric commentary . Why would the uninitiated come to listen and then make derogatory remarks if they can't appreciate the sound? There are many facets of music like life with dynamics and moods and timbers that scale the imagination. It isn't a football contest but a painting, a work of art . A critic is the lowest position of music with no commitment or practice necessary.

  • While I enjoy his 'regular' organ playing, this sounds like he's just mashing notes about, AND if this is his own piece, WHY does he need music and a page turner? BTW, I dig the halls massive reverberation. This one receives a 1.5 on my infamous sphincter tickle scale.

  • Certainly.

  • I wouldn´t be TOO sure xD
