Tips you should know about properly testing products at a makeup counter or store!

Want to know the easiest way to test products? Do what I do.. test EVERYTHING on the BACK OF YOUR HAND! you will still get a general idea oh how the product will look.
I never apply products on my face that are out in the open for people to touch/use. Just like a public toilet seat, you know whats right & wrong, but just because you wouldn't set your bare ass on it, doesn't mean someone else wouldn't mind!!
Ooor like eating candy that is unwrapped and out for everyone.. some people don't wash their hands after using the bathroom, they probably reached in there and touched 84590343 pieces trying to get 1... now you just ate one. GROSS!

Remember:
-Sanitize hands.
-DO NOT STICK YOUR FINGER IN ANY PRODUCTS!
-Use cotton swabs to swatch on the back of your hand.
-Use disposable wands only 1 time, if you need more product use a new wand each time!
-Scrape out cream products with a spatula that was dipped in alcohol
- PENCILS: if using on your eye/lip; dip in alcohol, sharpen, & dip in alcohol again. make sure to WIPE off the alcohol after the 2nd dip so it doesn't burn.
- Anything in a squeeze tub can be used right out of the tube itself
-Spot clean brushes before using them!

anything else i forgot to mention... remind me and i'll add it!

  • petrilude you re so skini

  • @Mariezee44 The ones at MAC usually are, i must say. At least in my country.

  • The employees on MAC stores are usually stuck up and wont let you use their brushes, and they start to try to sell you something you don't need when you're just looking. In Etiquette, i prefer Sephora cause the ladies at EVERY Sephora Are always just the nicest.

  • I couldnt agree more with everything in this video, and I thank you so much for putting this out there. Total health safety tip especially around flu seasons and as you said pink eye is nasty buisness, along with any other disease that can be on lips and eyes- and well anywhere else. LIVE THESE LESSONS PEOPLE!

  • wow. that was awesome.

  • I seriously love your vids! so helpful! (:

  • I was at a boots and asked to look at a tester mascara, she told me to sit down and tried to attack me with it. I only wanted to use it on my boyfriends arm hair too see if the product did what it said it would

  • so clear you have worked for MAC :) only an ex-employee of MAC would be able to speak out all these very important roles of sanitizing and disinfecting products at a cosmetic store/ counter.

  • folks this how it should be in your everyday life. folks have no respect for others. Ive seen people open up a product rub in skin or rub finger into it and put back on shelf. either don;t buy or have nerve to get another of the same to buy. so either some1 is going to buy the used and may have t o waste time returning or the store is going to remove and loss of income is past on to other consumers.

  • Asking for help sounds nice and all on the video, but when you're actually at the store the employees are usually bitches.
