http://www.artistopia.com/hessionsession Jim has recorded a studio cut of Shreveport Stomp for an upcoming CD, but it is becoming a popular request in the clubs in New Orleans. The audiences of Fritzel's on Bourbon think nothing of requesting a rare Morton composition followed by a request for jazz, bop or funk.......
I always find it odd that some of the cleanest cuts come from the moments most under scrutiny, when it is live without the benefit of a sound engineer who can work magic with dials in a studio. This piece is a tough assignment requiring great concentration.
First to give this one a 5, but won't be the last. You sure gave due respects to Jelly.
