While I'm not a big fan of such 'potpourries' of beautiful scenes, it makes quite some sense in the case of an opera. So here are some excerpts including essential parts of Salieri's masterpiece.
I love the dark, romantic mood of it. Sound is not always the best (again) but it's worth listening.
Margaret Marshall, Dimitri Kavrakos and Raul Gimenez sing along with the Südfunk-Chor. The Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart plays under Gianluigi Gelmetti.
This opera should be very famous today, it's magnificent. I have a recording of the entire thing, it's SUPERB. Maybe my favourite Salieri opera, and I love most of them that I've heard.
