This video shows a little racing gameplay scene out of Dirt 2 .

Ingame config :
Everything on High , Ultra ; NO xAA
The lag in the video comes from the used video Capturing software FRAPS
I get 40 - 50 fps without fraps (xAA off)
And 30 -35 with (8xAA)

I use the GDDR 5 (512mb) version of the GT 240 by Palit

Pls let me know what u think of this card !
i bought it for 69€ so not too expensive

Residen Evil 5 DX 10 all on max ( 40-56 fps)
Crysis Ultra High ( 18 -30 fps)
Left 4 dead 2 MAX ( 50 - 78fps)

@emin257 hmm...as it's obviously a laptop i can't say for sure , but if you are going to buy it now, i would recommend you to buy a better laptop than this one.It should have an i5-XXX or i7-XXX and a Direct X 11 Supporting video card,for example a GTX 460M. This will ensure that you can play upcoming games without buying a new laptop every few years .

But back to your question !

For the games you mentioned this setup should be good enough (med , maybe high) settings.But for sure without any AA

just ordered the ddr3 1gb version of this card for 40 bucks. i'm going to be upgrading from a 7600 gs, which was a mid range card back in 06. cant wait to play games with some decent framerates
