You hit your thighs quite often.. or at least that's what it sounds like.

@labellarocio The recruiter or the school? I can tell you I went through Footprints recruiting, but I won't say what school I work at.
-
Hey wat company did you go with?
-
@IrenicElegance Glad you like it! I try to keep it short so I don't get the wavy effect :)

I like the hair :)

I'm lucky that this school gives each new teacher a few days to prepare for their classes.

well, i am going to korea for the experience, but mainly because i can make money there. I am scared of hagwon's but since i will graduate with an education degree and hardly any experience i will be at the bottom of the totem pole. I have researched countless hours and the best solution i have come up with is to teach in hagwon that is in a small city. Hagwon's seem to be a hit or miss thing, do you feel the same?

@Warhammer820 I personally disagree w/the small city bit, but that's just a personal preference. Hagwons are hit-and-miss, strongly agree with that. However, the "horror" stories are not usually as bad as they sound. Usually.

I'm curious what salary I should look for as a first time teacher, I have a B.S. (in science) and a teaching certificate (but no experience). Would 2.0-2.2 won be about right?
SussenRose 8 months ago
@SussenRose When I worked in South Korea, that was about what I was making (2.2 mil). If you're a private teacher, try to get 2.2. In S.Korea, certification doesn't mean as much as it does in countries like Japan, but if you've worked in S. Korea as an ESL instructor before, you can command a higher salary.
