A tapping arpeggio exercise with hammer-ons from nowhere.

It is not an easy exercise, but if you play it very slowly at first then it will be really fun. The hardest places are where you must hammer on a new string (this is the so called "Hammer-ons from nowhere") which is used by a lot of great guitar players, most notably Greg Howe. Try to synchronize the movement of the two hands, so that you hammer on the new string exactly the moment when you are finished with the previous string. (This is most important at the second half of the exercise when you are going from the lower strings to the higher ones.)
On the guitar tablature, "t" means the notes which must be tapped.

The music at the end of the video is Golden Sun, from the album Jonas Tamas: Sharp Guitars From A Flat Planet.

  • i thing tapping arpeggios are the hardest things to play on guitar! niiiice

  • love the sound of the tap, great lesson also ^^

  • @DaddyTwoFoot two note per string where you tap the shape of a sweep picked arpeggio is uncommon, thats what I'm pointing out, at least for me and all the guitarists I listen to

  • @drawnacrol Most tapping is done with arpeggios.
