almost disaster for this 7 ton digger when a rather large tree heads the wrong way!

Umm... I just have one question... WHY???
I'm glad that it went as well as it did, but that was not even close to safe.
There is nothing wrong with using a digger to pull a tree down... but use chains and pull straight in the direction that you want it to fall, from many feet away.
doing it like it was done in this video risks flipping the digger over, having a tree hit the digger, or possibly blowing a hydrualic cylinder or worse.
Tree felling is serious,it can kill in a heart beat!
