I think your whole argument makes no sense! its just an attempt to absolve yourself of the interest, your thieving ancestors. Having given the likes of you from past conquest, and yes white people did collaborate with Arabs and sold their own too, in some cases for sugar. Even during that bad period white Europeans still retained their cultural identity they don't speak Arabic. Even though only a few words of Arabic entered European languages.

creating a naval base there will bring more problem to that poor country, they'll get the U.S enemies against them who wants that? don't forget China, Russia, North Korea aren't your friends China or Russia itself is enough to destroy U.S.

Do you even know the history of slavery in Africa??? Here's a tip for you type this into the youtube search:
THE ARAB SLAVE TRADE
or
TRANS ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE
You know that Christian white europeans were taken into North Africa as slaves to Muslim africans don't you? It started in the late 1400's and went on for over 400 years and left millions dead. Algiers was probably the most well documented and many others on the Barbary Coast. You should read the book CHRISTIAN SLAVES MUSLIM MASTERS

It's just sad how ignorant an uneducated these people really are. They really have no clue why they are protesting they were just told to.
I know my own history, thanks. I don't need a history lesson about my ancestors from someone unrelated to me. My point is, not everything we do is bad. We are not trying to take over the world or Africa. We offered aid, that is it. We are not sending troops or building bases all over the continent as the accusations are saying. If my government did start building bases I would not support it along with the majority of American citizens.

Tom, the reason for your misconception of AlJazeera is because AlJazeera shows the actual human costs and civilian casualties caused by both sides in more details, hence increasingthe chance of resentment against the Americans, whereas the likes of Fox and CNN simply dismiss the American caused civilian casualties as "collateral damage" as to not cause any domestic outrage against the American involvement abroad.
