He makes a goddamn good point about rock in the current pop music industry. The Foo Fighters are pretty much the only rock band that makes it (barely) to the pop charts, and still have integrity.

Eh, the Kings of Leon are fine, but for me, at least, they just fall into that "bland ambient rock music" realm. You know, good for when it's raining, or you feel melancholy, or during a car ride where you have to concentrate on directions, but terrible for when you actually want to get pumped up. Which could very well be less than they deserve, I don't know, but that's the vibe they give me. Still a great list.
