Hike or bike this pleasant scenic trail that begins behind the Cave and Basin Centennial Centre. Formerly a road, its asphalt surface makes for comfortable strolling and cycling. For part of the journey, it follows beside the Bow River and provides open views of the rugged peaks on the north side of the valley. Waterfowl are often seen on the river, and willow-fringed marshes are hoe to a variety of birds and animals. The pavement ends at the Sundance Canyon picnic area. A 2 km trail (closed to bikes) leads up the canyon and loops back through the forest to the picnic area. Distance: 4.3 km one way.
