Peter is right this housing boom went on so long that it made people think this was the highway to heaven without working.Hear in Australia Tax agents were telling people to negative gear like the world was going to end.
In my opinion real estate prices have gone way beond what normal wages can buy,I feel sorry for these generation which may never have their own house

I think the best our gov. can do is try to make "the fall off the cliff" happen in shorter steps so as to reduce the splat.

Bush gave us change already. 1 "dollar", bush has given us 65 cents. Obama will continue to give us change at 37 cents. There is your change. You will be lucky to get 37 cents for your "dollar". BTW dont be fooled! we are still a republic, not a democracy.

Peter Schiff is one of the very few telling it like it is. So many economists are telling us that a turn around is just around the corner, even as they have to keep cutting corners with the realization that the recession is still here several corners later. The media, the government and many of these sellout economists, want you to start spending - buying useless junk to prop up a fake economy. They'd also like it very much if you'd blow your paycheck by reinvesting in the stock market.
