Fantastic playing! The slow parts could use a more mellow tone and not so sharp edged... An interesting interpretation this recording is one of my favorites... fantastic performance

Maybe it's the recording but trumpet sounds very harsh, forced and a bit pitchy. The technique is wonderful, but this concerto is not just a show piece.
