  • I have met all kinds of strange requests. Somehow I did not feel right to write something I don't believe in... just asked people politely to change the subject. My calligraphy event is not meant to cater.

  • Joshua have you ever had someone's name translate to some thing wacky or weird? Like Pot Handle or Drooling Nose?

  • I left the paperweights in another bag when I taught a class few days ealier. As I would never write without a paperweight, I had to borrow other things. That red Xuan paper with gold flecks is from Forbidden City or AcornPlanet. As you know, Chinese only write names "with a brush" on "RED" paper. If I did on white paper, they would come to fight..

  • did you not take your paper weights with you? i see you are using all kind of things for that purpose. and what is that paper, you are using? it looks smooth, and not so absorbant. oh and do you think, you could translate my name aswell? :)
