@apacheslim The first 6 years of Chavez in office food inflation was 383% and non-food 292%! Wages have not increased anywhere near that amount = lower living standards and impoverishment. Inflation is a hidden tax that undermines prosperity, especially for the poor and those on fixed incomes. Basic economics. In '97 unemployment was 10.5% then 16.7% in '04. Underemployment is at 50% approx, including people working as street peddlers. According to the UN it is a top 10 underfed population.

Hugo Chavez & his regime is the worst thing that has ever happened to us venezuelans. We live in a nightmare of crime & poverty (not to mention indolence, corruption & cheer stupidity) Nearly everyone in our opposition to this serious issue is an Imbecil.
