  • I swear to god i will always love this song

  • Ha! Ha! I remember this back in the day when we (children) used to dance. Thanks for the memories!

  • I'm glad this joint became part of true school Hip Hop culture unlike the bullshit that they're putting out still.

  • R.I.P. Billy Preston. Thank you for your contribution to American R&B, and for sharing your gift with the world. You are missed.

  • I think this song would be great for a TV show theme. I heard it one day when I was in Home Depot and immediately came home to look up what it was.

  • I read that since the guitars and keyboards were all recorded by "direct inject" (no mics), and drums were recorded in a soundproof booth, Billy called out chord changes to the rest of the musicians while recording this song.

  • Guitar "stings" in were done by George Harrison.

  • Too bad there isn't a 'LOVE' button, here! Billy hit #2 in Billboard, 7-8-72. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a blessed week! RIP, brother Billy.

  • The LP promo label (pressed by Columbia in Pitman, NJ, with label copy type therefrom) looks like it was before the "I Wrote a Simple Song" title was added on at the top. I will say, if I were to buy a copy of this album, these are the typefaces to be seen.

  • r.i.p. billy, we miss ya
