  • @stargirlsusan yeah, it was spot on?

  • University of Kansas must be proud of you! You're a stand out...! Nice beauty mark, Cute and tuff. And, seriously, I typed all this B4 your ending.

  • Hahaha! She could work for Fox. She's generic enough.

  • Warren Jeffs Audios are now listed on ebay by yesterdaysitems

Personally I like the reporter, and I was deeply involved in the issue.

  • I concur with that observation. NPR is usually pretty good. I used to work for one of their affiliates and a national news show from Minnesota Public Radio, the LA Bureau. But even them I would catch sometimes being shortsighted. The reporters heard me out usually, but they admitted they were afraid to be too truthful about the powerful because their "access" would be cut off. My personal fave is Pacifica Radio. They actually ask average people what is going on, not just PR hacks.

  • Good point. I myself seem to notice NPR telling things "the way they are" moreso, for instance they still call it the "war on terrorISM" (knowing that terror is an emotion and that you cannot declare war on an emotion)

  • There has to be some professional, non-corporate source of information that has been accurately checked for facts, and public media is a good resource for just that. I don't know if sponsorship by the government constitutes interference in your mind, but "news" has to be more than a galaxy of personal impressions, opinions, and interpretations of individuals reacting to hearsay and outrage....which is often what the internet delivers.

  • Well you're right, she IS a bad newswoman! Don't worry I'll spank her. That's a BAD newswoman, go to my room!

And actually..."news" is not a vital resource for a democracy. You don't "need" ANY corporation to TELL you the news. The only vital resource for democracy is ALLOWING the news...and that means ANY news...and another thing vital to democracy is NOT ALLOWING the government to interfere with that news in any way, shape, or form.

  • weird according 2 ur believe system but not for them
