Cripple Kitten - Updates 2January2008

It has been quite a while since I last updated on Alera due to overloaded daily routine and preparation of my upcoming BIG DAY, the wedding. If you have been followed my ustream tv live feed, u already witnessed Alera bit himself again, yes again on the first day of 2008 and this time the wound has turned out to be a large one. Just watch the videos (my ustream tv url below) to find out more. Luckily he did not attack the leg area which is a good thing.

I have asked the vet whether neutering will solve this problem, he said no. For the time being, I will be cleaning up the wound daily and the vet will give the injection ( antibiotic ) on daily basis so that this will speed up the healing time since I already know how to clean the wound. Once the scab formed up, the vet will help me to remove them.

I'm an animal fanatic but when it comes to pulling an animal in pain back to living 70% normal... knowing that it was it's time for it to pass... that's what should hurt the most. The pour thing would rather die than to be crippled for the rest of it's life. Put yourself in it's lil body and think about that. But of course.., not everyone is entitled to someone elses opinion. But common sense is what people need to use.

Everythin lives & dies. & of course anythin fears death but life is a constant battle & battling to accept death is wat one needs to do. If u were the kitten & had the fact in ur head that you will be crippled forever, to have to rely on some1 elses strength wouldnt u rather just die instead of someone pullin u back into livin again even though ure on the break of dyin? Knowin that theres a better place for every living thing, especially innocent animals. Just throwin out a point without arguin

There is no such thing as humane killing.

Killing is killing period and you have altered and against the law of nature. As a human being you should be a guardian to the unfortunate souls and as a guardian instead of life taker when we are not even a life giver.

There is no point arguing as each human being level of consciousness is different.

I can't believe ppl actually put their money to do surgery on an animal that small. Put the poor thing out of it's misery... By the time the cat dies of old age.. u'll still be paying off that debt.. geez

I think Alera wants to live and enjoys life fully and his illness is just one aspect of his life. LET HIM LIVE, as long as you love him as you do. (Alera would do well if you have the wounded leg amputated, as it does not seem to be healing properly. As it is, it may never heal. It's wrapped all the time, not allowing air to help speed the healing process. Any wound needs air to heal. There's a kitty video of one cat who had both crippled rear legs removed and is getting around ok.
