Nice Tutorial. Thank you!

Hey, are there any all-electric vocoders? Like for the computer?

That's awesome man !! :)

Yes, you can ReWire Record with Cubase 5, with Cubase 5 as the Host application, and Record as the client application.

This is going to sound really dumb... BUT, I have my guitar going through a line 6 PODxt into Reason, no problems there. How or where can I hook a mic up in order to have them both at the same time like you have??

@kayden7 You'd need a pro audio soundcard with a mic input and a line input (for the PODxt). I realize you're using PODxt as your soundcard now, which is great for recording guitar, but PODxt does not have a mic input.
What version of Reason are you using? Do you also own Record?

@Meteotrance Totally! I have a newer video about that, entitled "Propellerhead Record + Reason: How to Make Talk Box and Auto-Wah Effects," and another that uses Thor's formant filter called "Propellerhead Record + Reason: Playing Guitar Through the Reason Synths (Part 2)."

Thanks for sharing this, extremely helpful. I was wondering if anyone has achieved the old wah talkbox style of effect using this technique?

sorry for super-late response-- but if you are still out there... I have not tried for that sound, but if I were trying for the "Rocky Mountain Way" solo sound, I would suggest going for the max number of vocoder bands (FFT 512), and a little less gain / distortion in the guitar sound than what I used in the tutorial. In general, more vocoder bands will result in a less synthy, more natural sound.
