Doesn't anyone else find it strange that an entire gigantic body of fluid particles would suddenly begin rotating in the same direction at the same time? I think it would be a more violent gathering.
The rotation would begin as particles flow past a more dense area, but not directly into it, causing it to swing back around. Other particles would follow in the vicinity eventually reaching out all the way. It seems this is why the center of a galaxy spins faster than the outside.

even if we see only a disc, isnt the galaxy supposed to have some kind of spherical form?

@hoboterror the word of disc is very relative here, i mean imagine a Galaxy so enormus.
yes the centre of Galaxy is more spherical in shape than the edges
