Last words from my terminally ill adoptive mom. Estrangement over subjective values (her career choices) is common. Contradiction: "call some other time..." mama drama

  • kool video man. im adopted too, that had to be ruff

  • @jrath69 it was good training to cope with a cold blooded world..

  • What you did here is amazing George. It takes tremendous emotional courage to be the one to initiate so many attempts at reconciliation. Now you've lived knowing that you did everything humanly possible at making things right.

My brother jumped off a bridge 4 years before our mom passed. My other brother and sister wouldn't have anything to do with her. I just didn't have the means and abandoned her for 4 years, but came to her rescue the last few weeks of her life. I'm at peace like U

  • @shizzleman8 i could have followed up like she told me to.. but the contradictions confused me.. rejection, neglect, abuse, estrangement.. what were your mom's issues? you could show your story with text photos & video like i do..

  • @geogodley It was a messy divorce. My mom's dad got my dad an unsecured line of credit from the bank than after his finance companies were up and running he divorced my mom and married his secretary. My sister was abused by her and my oldest brother was indoctrinated by my dad. My brother John and I stayed with her as adults. He would come back from the beach with his surf board all sandy, and my mom would ask, "Did you go to the beach today?". She was blonde haired and blue eyed.

  • @shizzleman8 i see

  • @geogodley I know what it's like to be shorted out of an inheritance. If it wasn't for my brother's jumping my share would have been considerably smaller + I was his beneficiary and he didn't leave a note. I never tried to collect his insurance. I have a lot of empathy for you George, being adopted. My idea of ministry was reaching out to young guys in Juvenile Hall. I never received so much love from so many kids that didn't have any to give by all accounts. Life is a mystery. Peace

  • @geogodley i heard dat!

  • I feel terrible for you losing your mother, she still loved you despite the last conversation you had with her. She didnt have to resent you for your career or your style of clothes, I personally think that your career is amazing. but I hope she's Rested in Peace <3

  • I'm curious, how's the relationship between you and your brother?
