I have a 4100 at my school
-
I know that's the default voice message for Simplex 4100, 4120 and 4100U systems. In fact, I've been told that two of the buildings at Bridgewater State College (East Campus Commons, has a Simplex 4120 system with 4903 speaker/strobes; Kelly Gymnasium, has a Simplex 4100U InfoAlarm system with TrueAlert speaker/strobes) do that same voice message too
-
I know the 4100 and 4120 are now discontinued, but the Simplex 4100U still has that same evacuation message
-
OH OKAY

Ah. I told my old high school principal that they should install Stopper IIs over their pulls (Edwards 270-SPOs) since they are also prone to false alarms. She thought it was a great idea, and they'll do it once they get the money
-
Correction: the main panel is actually a Simplex 4120.
Not to be rash or anything who's male voice is that saying: Attention Attention Attention an emergency has been reported?

IDK, it's computer generated, and according to the techs, he has no official name.

I think they should install Stopper IIs over the pull stations at UAlbany. They have them over the pulls at certain buildings at my college, mainly the ones that still have the old Simplex T-bars intact. However last summer, when they replaced the old Simplex horn/lights with new SAE horn/strobes in one zone, they also removed a Stopper II from one of the pulls. And when they replaced the old pulls in the swimming pool last winter break, they put new Stopper IIs over the new Faraday Chevrons

We're generally not prone to false alarms, although there was a big string of them at the library this past semester. The campus police tell us the pulls have ink in them, but I don't believe them.
