My point being we bought a 45.00 cell phone here , and the same phone there was 199.00 usd , They have weird irons too , buying them a Iron like we have they would think wow this is really cool. The washing machines I saw there really sux, you have to take the clothes out wet and wring them out and hang them, I was shocked the first time my wife pulled out a load of clothes between cycles and they were dripping wet? Guess I got off the subjet a little.

It seems things there they have to have like a cell phone, or even flip flops cost more there than even here in the states. We bought a bunch of sim card cell phones on e-bay rangeing from the razor phone to simple styled phones, the only problem is they use a stronger current, so its smart to buy a seperate battery charger being the current there can damage the battery or even the phone. They have cheap converters there, but we learned the hard way .

Yea thats sounds profitable, My wife and I thought about a laundry mat, but you can pay someone pennies to do that there, meats that does have a value . Your right it's hard to think of a profitable business there, unless you have Foreign monies comming in. I asked a Filipino here what he thought would be a money maker, he said their furniture is first quality there, if there was a way to buy it there and sell it here could make alot of money.

Me and my wife was just talking about this too. We where trying to come up with a business that can help them but it is hard. We were thinking of a pig farm, what do you think?

My Point is my wifes family is so darn big 14 brothers and sisters, and they seem to be haveing new babies every year, there's just no way we can help all of them so we focus the help we do so it can help them help themselves. Lucky now we have about 5 success in the family so when and if a major issue happens we are not completely burdened thinking we are their only help. Being your married too a Filipina I am sure you know what I mean.

Something really cool I liked in the Philippines I wish we had here is the gas station Girls that pump your gas for you, that was pretty darn cool to me, or even a bunch of sexy girls doing a car wash bet that would go over well. I am not discing your idea, only giveing my personal opinion is all. We of course want to help some in the family so life isnt so hard, we plan to maybe buy a tricycle for them, a few of the Brothers can split shifts maybe helping a little.

I can ask those who know , my wife worked for her sisters internet cafe. They tried to sell it to us not to long ago. My thought is no way do not invest in that, as you know their income isn't near what we have, also for some strange reason electronics cost more there than here. You have alot of cost other than just buying the pcs, like power bill thats not as bad as here but bad enough, also your server connection, rent etc,,, You wont profitt enough I am pretty sure.

Will u have animals r plants only. Will u run it like American farms r local farms. Will u use things 2 speed growth n production r go organic. How much money will u need 2 start. If something happens 2 yur wife r u ok with the idea u may lose the land 2 her family n will have 2 sell the farm. There r lot of things to think about. I am going through these thought maybe we can help each other think. I will post this on my page this way maybe if someone who knows more then us can jump in also.

Well starting a farm in the Philippines? Here are some questions for. Where do you intend to live in the Philippines? Are you aware land can not be owned by foreigners. In my case i am starting to think of just taken the risk of buying the land on my wife's name. I will try first to see if i can lease the land. The next things is you have to find a location where it is okay. Most people in the ph can have some animals however when it get to a bigger scale you will need permits.
