  • With the shadows,

How would you do the shadows with a chroma-key background,

because that would dissapear with the rest of the background or gust be a dark green blotch (or whatever color you use).

Becuse I am trying to make a film with CGI parks made on Anim8or mixed with real life FILMS.

  • posted reply, accidentally posted to ashleywoolston below, but post answers both comments... added to what I said, If you do that at a higher resolution than required, you can track & pan across the image to give camera movement...

  • what programe do u use to make the daleks look as they r in a realy life background

  • Hi, I'll render the Daleks in anim8or as usual, and either set a photo as the background or colour key them together in a video programme. I use a square below the dalek with a radial transparency to make it look like they cast a shadow on the ground. if i render the shot at high enough reslution, I can then key-frame lots of quick pans in a video editor like wax to give a hand-held effect. hope that explains. • KZZZZZZZZZT!

    AWSOME !

    lol

  • Sorry, I finally get who the whole thing works, I forgot about the little section of radial transparency below the dalek!

    Sorry to post useless questions!

  • Yeah,

I do render at higher then I need, because I use that trick with wax all the time. But what I meant was how do you set up the picture so you get shadows which are flat as if it was real life?
