@pro818 That's how u support ur cost/benefit analysis...by using quants and qualitative data..Simple as that. About the sectors, just look at the numbers...u should see it too.

@michokoto Please elaborate ...According to you , what sectors should be invested in as per the Country's GDP .
Second Maybe we have different understanding of what qualitative and quantitative researches are ...but how are those relevant to our little conversation ? Please enlighten me .
In my mind ,Cost-benefit analysis would be more suited ...but that's just me

@pro818 On quantitative analysis, chck the IMF(Democratic Republic of the Congo: Statistical Appendix),IT gives u an understanding on constituents of DRC's GDP, from there u can see what sectors are worth investing in.On the cost of the 5 chantiers, little info is provided.U can find multiple sources online with a somehow estimates of the cost. On the benefits, I think u know that qualitative analysis is more fitted for the exercise.(Assuming that u've took & red a cost/benefit courses or book.

How can you say that the cost of building the most basis infrastructures " outweighs " the benefits they will bring ... This would suggest that you have made a study and came up with the numbers to back up that claim . Highly doubtful .
If you can't move it , it ain't worth much .
And without roads they will never drive at all
pro818 1 year ago
@pro818 we should finance these projects by using royalties from the mining and petroleum industry (Canada, Norway, the Middle East have done it)...If u look at the latest stats u'll see that it's easily doable and more efficient than borrowing under poorly designed conditions....
Basic econ 101: if the cost of doing an action outweigh the benefit received from that action...REALLOCATE YOUR RESOURCES. How many none corrupted hard working congolese can afford to drive on those roads.....

@michokoto How else do you suggest they finance these projects ???
If they do nothing , you will complain ... and when they do something , you still complaining ...
There is no economic development possible without infrastructures ... that's what's needed to start moving our country in the right direction ...Peace
