THIS WASN'T THE DIAMOND DOGS TOUR. IT WAS THE NEXT ONE WHEN THEY RECORDED AN LP DAVID LIVE AT THE TOWER THEATER IN PHILADELPHIA

thanks, me too listerned to it to death, was always my favourite version, guitar rift, and drum solo was what pulled me in, then i was a massive Bowie anyway, saw his last live gig at wembley arena, as it was then in 76.
then when he came back with that serious moonlight tour back in 81 saw him perform at the MK bowl, way before his time.
my brother who is no longer with us, had the oportunity to see bowie in 68 perfom only his guitar and also on the same night one Marc Bolen

I think this is the track you are looking for. Although it has tragically been cut short. It was on the B side of Knock on wood here in the UK. The video is unrelated to the song. When i was a kid I listened to the solo part over and over until the 45 became unplayable. I can almost remember every note. Fantastic solo.

That is so amazing!

No doubt this song is about the 1967 riots in Detroit. The city never recovered. Take a trip down Grand River from 8 Mile to Jefferson Ave. and take a good look. There has been "Panic in Detroit" for years. Great song, and prophetic....
beautiful clip ! such a pleasure.
