Just wanted to make my own response to this. I couldn't watch the whole video, because as all atheists know it's always the same arguements regurgitated from one believer to the next, and (i don't mean to be rude, but) i just don't have the stomach for that kind of mind pollution like i used to.
So i noted down a few of the first points this guy made and wanted to respond in my own words.
Oh, and at some point i ramble about if something can be disproven then there's no reason to believe it, but if it can't be disproven then we take that is the closest thing to truth that we know - What i INTENDED to say was that if something can be repeatedly tested and proven positive almost every time, then we can take that as the closest thing to truth that we can know. Sorry about the word bumble - my mind and my mouth tend not to work together as well as they should.
Remember - teaching children to irrationally hate other people who think differently is a form of mental abuse.
"Bad people go to hell."
"People who don't believe in god go to hell."
This leads every christian child initially to the same conclusion: "People who don't believe in god must be bad people."
And that is clearly untrue - as most of the hatred, and violence, oppression and mind-suppression, murder and removal of rights in the history of the world has been done in the name of religion - especially the triple branch god of the Jews, Christians and Muslims.
I understand some people do wake up from these mental chains - or that not all christians or religious people are hateful bigots hiding behind the mask of love - but it's a scary majority that needs to be addressed.
Religion and god are the most convenient excuses for most of the evils committed in this world. And that's a fact no one can deny.
It is always the better choice to ignore religion - because at the core all it serves to do is divide, when one would think that a god would want all the people he supposedly created to get along.
When you realize this, you'll start to realize that the bible was written by humans who just want mental power over people - who want to justify evil they've done by saying, "My god told me to. It is written! *hastily scratches down divine commandments*"
I believe what ur saying and have 4 a long time. I believe in freewill and that some1 made up religion to keep us busy and that to show how stupid people are to justify not saving us for the flood. Maya have made alot of proof that they now where eclipses would happened here on earth. So think for ur self about the poles moving, great flood which archeology has proof of, magma ocean floor, en.wikipedi.org/wiki/Plate_tectonics#The_final_proof:_magnetic_striping Is there a tipping point?

@sgathere No. People are making the claim that there is a god, with no more evidence or proof than the other gods that these, and most people, DON'T believe in. Since there is a complete lack of evidence of any god's interference, i can refuse the claim that there is a god without needing proof. One doesn't need to prove a negative if there's no valid indication at all that there's a positive to work from. Otherwise christians would have to disprove every other god before believing in their own.

@limegreensquid The burden of proof lies with the person making the claim. You claim there is no God. I claim there is a God. You can prove your claim and I cant prove my claim; at least from a scientific point of view.

@limegreensquid "Any god that threatens hell for not believing is an evil god, no doubt of it should enter one's mind." Interesting comment...So you are saying that is someone does wrong things they should not be punished? If you kill a man for whatever reason and break the law in doing so should you not be sent to jail for the rest of your life or to a point in time where you are put to death? I am sure there are many bad people that would love for you to be a law man of some sort.

@limegreensquid Were you reading the same Bible or is that spoon fed information you have digested? The bible holds within a moral in which even scientists utilize(whether they are religious or not) when they are creating programs, technologies, and things of the sort to improve the convienence of life itself...but even those things can be perverted and used for ill will. Infact, some of those moral principles also exist in other religions and idiologies.

@limegreensquid I find it fascinating how you assume that religious people are gulliable. I am religious and i am not gulliable. I did my research until I was satisfied until I had a deep pull towards what I believe today...and its funny...I was neither influenced nor convinced. I looked at a few things...analized many choices and asked a few questions; unbiased, mind you. There are others like me so how does sciende explain that? we werent played because we made the choice on our own.

@limegreensquid Yes the bible does say unto Christians that it is an obligation and a duty of ours to seek out the lost and bring them to God. However, it does not say to do so in a way as to force someone or as to impose upon them. You still have a choice. You think you know better because someone has mislead you and I am sorry that someone could be so cruel as to do so.

@limegreensquid Proof of which is inspired by man and by your thinking it can be just as false as your religion am i wrong? i am just going by the things you have stated on religion.

@limegreensquid Do not twist my words into your own agenda. That is not what I am stating. Those buildings were erected to support a belief of some type...not just too look pretty or enhance their daily life.

@archangel8323 "If you simply read the text without asking unbiased questions then you cannot reach a state of understanding."
It's the unbiased questions that lead to any sensible person understanding that the bible's words are highly obsolete, very offensive, and can be boiled down to hate speech geared towards self-preservation against those who do not wish to share the same hate speech. Any god that threatens hell for not believing is an evil god, no doubt of it should enter one's mind.
