The New Colony Six - I lie awake (Reprint)

This is a Sundazed reissue from1993, its not that I havent seen their first LP for sale, but its always expensive as all heck.

Their 2 first LPs are very trippy though, way too bubbly and acidic for a 1966 band hehe :)

Yes...Original copies of the New colony six "Breakthrough" album are quite pricey, but..if you keep looking, you'll eventually find a reasonably priced copy.- I have numerous original copies of Breakthrough in my personal collection, and the last one that I found on Ebay only cost me $12.50.- But...whatever price you have to pay, the "Breakthrough" album is worth ever penny.

@newcolonyfreak1 last time I saw Breakthrough it was almost 600$, I actually had one in my hand at one point but it was in such a poor condition so I had to let it go.

But yeah the LP is worth every single penny!!.

Great song with the guitar line, organ and harmonies. This is great garage rock of its era, with a very amateur feel but is actually pretty sophisticated stuff. "I want my love back!" I just read that they used Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue as an inspiration, and after listening to it, that's right! I always thought the song had a strong melody!
