Illah -you are correct here but this is not in the bible -where do you get info that Jesus said this -perhaps a movie? Al = the, Lah =God so Al-Lah =the God. Arabic came from Ancient Aramaic- Illah does not mean My God as you say. It is the god. Qu'ran was also given verbally-not written down-do your research

"The ancient Aramaic version" of ALLAH doesn't exist, since that pagan deity was not an ancient Aramaic deity. Many gods in history have been called "God". Big Deal. ALLAH is just the medieval Arab's PROPER NAME given their special god. Baal was an ancient Canaanite deity identified as one of the gods. He would have been called "god" as well. Allah is just a form of the word god, perhaps "The God" or perhaps an invention just to show its SPECIAL use as a name of Muhammed's family god.

"Allah" is NOT the Arabic word for "god". "Illah" is. Read the Islamic Shahada, "La (No) ILLAH (god) ha ILLA (except) Allah (Allah)." Illah is the word for god. Jesus' Aramaic cry out to God "Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachtani" reflects this. "Eli" (My God) is not (Allah). ALLAH was the ARABIC special, PROPER name given one of the gods in the Meccan pantheon. He was a FALSE GOD. The Father of the man Jesus was NEVER and WILL NEVER be some member of a pantheon. He has ALWAYS been ONE, the one GOD.

I have seen many sites here quoting passages from the bible which the author says proves this or that and the bible to be corrupt. I value opinion but why do these people take one or two sentences fro a passage and make a profound statment on its meaning. The result is a passage taken out of context.

I respect all comments but so many people make uneducated comments. people see videos on youtube and seem to think they are hearing facts. How about doing independent research? read the bible beofre you think you know what it is saying. I am a christian and took the time to read the Qu'ran-so my opinions-even though you may not agree are at least educated and based on what i have read-not inaccuracies
