I decided to do this song after hearing about a friend who was going through a rough patch after a relationship had ended. These types of things are never easy!

Michale Bublé originally wrote this with Alan Chang and Jann Arden for his ex-wife when they got divorced.
I think it just has beautiful lyrics.
Of course, not all relationships can end this perfectly but we can always hope....

As usual it's better with headphones. ;)

I felt like a had a bit of a hard time with this one.
Once again this was a song that felt a little out of range for me but as I was mentionned I do songs that I have a special meaning for me or really just want to do because I love them so much. In this case, it was both.

So I used extra reverb :D

This was actually a much better key for you than your "Use Somebody" cover. Two thoughts about your singing: 1) Don't be afraid of the high notes, tension will make it much harder to sing in your upper register, so go for it! 2) You sound a bit tight with your vowels, when singing English really try to relax your mouth, I think it will make your diction sound more natural. You could even massage your face before you sing! :)

"Use somebody" I tried an octave higher and my voice was annoying me :)

I "could" have done it ... but was worried it would sound annoying.

Decided to go 1 octave lower and it felt natural and easy.

I was quite happy with the end result, a sort of whispered intimate version :)
