Thanks 171RBD - We could actually cut by 85% and still have the world's largest military. Today's insane military spending is not about protecting us. It's ALL about feeding the military industrial complex profit monster and millionaires in CON-gress. The "Super Congress" was a fraud from the start. You don't reduce the deficit by ignoring the needless perpetual war and subservience to Wall Street that created it. The 12 of them have hauled in over $40 million from the financial industry alone.

But those solutions fail to recognize that the US uses tyranny to enforce petro dollar, afghan drug trade and US corporate globalization (watch?v=i6SEXpmGiOw) on rest of world. Cut defense spending, aka removing that tyranny, and US economy will go into immediate meltdown. It will be unable to pay its sheltered workshops (fed payroll) much less pay off debt. Governments are not the problem, its us. We need recognize that usury is evil. Live within our means and only buy locally made goods.

@jperryam, Don't you think they would have avoided 9/11 if they had a better choice? Without importing debt (via internet bubble, housing bubble, Wars, QE) to stimulate the local economy, the US would have already collapsed into a banana republic with millions rioting from starvation. With export earnings of 4k per person per year the US cannot afford to pay of interest on debt much less run a government. QE will continue, decline will accelerate, global war is their endgame.
