  • wetting the tile is not the same as a wet palette. A wet palette is a sponge in a dish or deep plate with a sheet of parchment paper over that. The water underneath comes through the parchment as vapour and keeps your paints from drying out. What you've shown is an OK technique and the results look all-right but there are far better ways to do it.

Keep at it and you'll get better.

  • @letmewatchitall1

    Thanks for the tips.

  • Learn to use a wet palette and thin your paints properly, wet brush or not never paint straight from the pot.

  • @letmewatchitall1 I'm not sure you have watched the video properly, however I will educate you in exactly what I have done. The tile I was resting the model on was wet, I took paint from the pot and placed it onto the wet tile to get the correct consistency. I even stress in the video how important thinning paints down is, and I'm sure if you watch it again you will agree, Thanks.

  • @BobTheChainsawMan Put your paint on a palette then add a drop of water.

  • @letmewatchitall1 How should one thin their paints? Do you like, pour water into the pot, or do you pour the paint into a little cup, then pour water on it? :P

  • God, this model looks unbelievable on the Facebook page photo. Love the videos and keep up the great tips!

  • next time you do a video, please can you speak a little clearer? Cheers
