What model of camera did you folks end up getting? and yeah, if you move too quickly and put a small figure in frame close to the camera while your body fills up the frame like 4 feet away, the camera wants to focus on your body instead. See if it has options for the type of autofocus.
And no matter the camera, try not to get too close, as most every camera has a MINIMUM distance, you'll have to figure out yours through trial and error, the BTP way :3

Yeah please put things or camera on a steady stand to improve focus. other than that the image looking good.

HD video looks great!!! I don't know much about video, but it seemed to look better when the model was sitting still, rather than when someone else is holding it and moving around.

Only tip for getting the focus I got is giving the camera only the model to have to focus on, the more in the background the more it wants to focus on that instead of the foreground. Hope that tip helps make this awesome camera really show off your great work!
