@BlackwaterOpsDotCom Ouch! Just because I stated the obvious, the same exact information everybody but Microsoft knows, I take on the dunce cap. Okay, fine. I am an idiot and it actually is reasonable that it takes 5,000 people to create a bloatware OS that sells to a legacy user base. Dumb me.

@carldietz And you would be an idiot.
Maybe MSFT should just rip off the OpenSource community Wholesale Like Apple Does with GPL2 Code?
Or maybe they should be Linux and not pay out the patents they would infringe on.
Or maybe they should demand hardware manufacturers pay them a tax

@ChiefLeftenant Thanks for informing me! Just waiting for the final release before I starting judging it. Thanks!

@JohnnyOthman Windows 8 will more than likely be only one package. Cause it won't be for business/enterprise. Companies that just switched to Win 7 will stay there till Win 9. It's proven for three full cycles now. NT, 2k, XP and 7 all geared for business. Win 8 really has no business applications except for app development. Which they are being smart about with the early release for developers. Win 8 will be very successful in the tablet market. But will fail as a desktop OS.

@ChiefLeftenant Yeah ur right, but wouldn't it be easier to have just one Windows 8 package, not saying the current Windows 7 package is bad, but it would be neat to have it in a one package. So no starter, home, etc so when buy Windows 8, I buy All in One featured Windows 8, you know what I mean... Its all good.

@BlackwaterOpsDotCom Don't say never. You make mistakes. We all do.
-
@JohnnyOthman There really are only three versions of Windows 7. 1) Starter. 2) Enterprise 3) Home Basic/Premium, Professional, Ultimate are the same install disk just a simple config file differentiates them.

@RufusBror ME? UGH "shudder" That was shit before shit was expelled.

The only that bugs me is Windows packages like Windows 7 starter, Home, Professional, etc... They should make it into one package that contains all. Sure I could buy the ultimate to get the full OS, but it should "buy a Windows OS period", thats it no starter, home etc . So when people have problems and they post in forums, they just specify the OS. Instead of us guessing what features is in which package and are they the cause of the problem. Hopping for Windows 8 to have one package only.
@BlackwaterOpsDotCom Did you ever happen to find a laptop with a trackpad that you do like? *tries to imagine using a CAD application using a trackpad..* *shudder* I think it's safe to say, after this point, that this segway has reached it's conclusion. (I know... off topic much?)

@42DangerVision I have an ASUS that I like just fine. It is not what I would do 5 hours of CAD in but I can manipulate charts and layouts in it. And I can play games, and do the things I need.
